"Curiously Powerful" Microshrines
Sometimes we need something meaningful to hold onto, touch with our hands, carry in our pocket.

Something that reminds us that we are not alone in this vast universe, but connected -- in awe and mystery -- with all of creation.

Something that gives us a reminder, an opportunity, to step back from our frenetic lives and remember the infinite preciousness of life.

Here is an offering -- tiny shrines made from recycled material, especially for religious liberals, seekers, and those who are "spiritual but not religious."

Made, in fact, especially for you.

The microshrines shown here are "portable chalices" for Unitarian Universalists.

They are painted in vivid colors and finished with a hard, shiny gloss that protects from chips.

I can make one, or a hundred, for you with any images, colors, and words you wish.  The microshrines illustrated are my standard "pocket chalice" for Unitarian Universalists.

On the outside top is a rainbow chalice logo.  On the outside bottom are the UU Principles.

Inside the top cover is an image of earth as seen from space.  Inside the tin itself is a candle in its own little compartment, matches covered with handmade paper, and a meditation, such as:

Today, knowing this planet
to be a tiny island of warmth in a vast ocean of night,
I covenant with all that creates and sustains life
To listen quietly to my inner wisdom,
To think clearly, love boldly, enjoy richly,
To act with courage, compassion, and hope,
And to rest securely in the flow of this moment.

If you email me
with your needs and interests, you can very quickly have your own microshrines in your hands.  You can also have customized microshrines that commemorate a hero or exemplar, a spiritual path, your home church, or some special private goal of your own (health, success, etc.).

The pricing is $12 for a standard microshrine (such as the ones pictured above, in any color you wish), and $15 for a customized one.
Email me
to discuss possibilities or place an order!

All proceeds go to microloans for women in the Third World, via
Kiva.org.

The heart of the spiritual quest is to know the rapture of being alive and to allow that knowledge to transform us into celebrants, advocates, defenders of life wherever we find it. -- Parker Palmer
